CorrTech is providing corrosion engineering expertise in accordance with specification SECTION 5.04A FURNISHING, INSTALLING AND TESTING CORROSION CONTROL AND/OR CATHODIC PROTECTION SYSTEM. Furnishing, Installing and Testing Corrosion Control and/or Cathodic Protection System was provided in accordance with New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) Specifications for Trunk Main Work.

CorrTech is providing all labor, equipment and materials to study, design, and test a Department approved complete corrosion control system for the protection of water mains and appurtenances installed under this contract. CorrTech provided NACE Corrosion Specialist engineering support services for the design, REI support during construction and final documentation.
CorrTech prepares design documents, based on approved recommendations of the engineering study, shall be prepared and submitted for approval to the Engineer; and, Suitable drawings shall be prepared to designate the overall layout of the piping and appurtenances to be protected and the location of significant items of structure hardware, corrosion control test stations, electrical bonds, insulators, and neighboring buried or submerged metallic structures. Locations of proposed galvanic anode installations shall be recorded on the drawings and summarized in tabular form with appropriate notes as to anode type, weight, spacing, depth, and back fill. CorrTech performs interim testing and the final activation testing along with the Contractor and REI. Copies of the signed reports are to be prepared by the Corrosion Specialist and submitted to DDC Infrastructure Construction, to DDC Infrastructure Design and to DEP-BWSO. t you.
